UI/UX Design
UI/UX design is the research, wireframing and interface design work that defines how a product looks and behaves before development starts — user flows, wireframes, visual design, and a clickable prototype validated with real feedback. At Beacon Coders this is a standalone service as well as a stage inside every build we do: you can commission design on its own, with the resulting files handed to your own developers, or as the design phase of a project we also build. Projects start at ₹1,20,000 / $1,450 and typically run 3 to 8 weeks depending on the number of screens and how much user research is involved.
Where the line sits against a full build
This page covers design deliverables — research findings, wireframes, a visual design system, and a clickable prototype. It does not include writing the code that turns those designs into a working product; that is custom web application development, ecommerce development, CMS development or WordPress development, depending on what you are building. Commission this page on its own when you have development capacity in-house and need design work you can hand off, or as the first phase of a larger project where design and build are scoped together from the start.
The output is not a set of static mockups you cannot use for anything else. Every engagement includes a component-level design system — spacing, typography, colour tokens, and reusable interface patterns — so your developers are building from a system, not guessing at pixel values between screenshots, reviewed directly by our head of design rather than delegated entirely to whoever is available that sprint.
What's included
User and stakeholder research
interviews, competitor review, and analysis of existing analytics where available, sized to the project's scope
Information architecture
mapping how content and features are organised and how users move between them, before any visual design starts
Low-fidelity wireframes for every core screen, reviewed and approved before visual design begins, so structural changes happen while they are still cheap

Visual design
typography, colour, spacing and component styling, delivered as a reusable design system rather than one-off screen designs
A clickable prototype covering the primary user flows, built for real feedback sessions rather than a static walkthrough

Accessibility built into the design itself
colour contrast checked against a 4.5:1 minimum, and interactive states designed for keyboard use, not retrofitted after development
Responsive design specifications for mobile, tablet and desktop breakpoints, not a single fixed-width layout

Developer handoff documentation
spacing values, component states and asset exports in a format your engineering team can build from directly
What's not included
UI/UX design does not include writing the frontend or backend code to implement the design — that is scoped as one of the build services above — nor does it include ongoing design updates after handoff unless specifically agreed as a retainer. It does not cover brand identity work like logo design or a full brand guideline document, though we will work within an existing brand system you provide. It also does not include user testing infrastructure or paid recruitment of test participants beyond a standard round of feedback sessions we help you organise.
How we scope and run a design engagement
Discovery establishes who the users are, what they are trying to do, and what constraints — technical, brand, timeline — the design has to work within; this is the same discovery stage that opens every web development project, adapted to a design-only scope where relevant. Wireframing follows, reviewed with you screen by screen before we move to visual design, since restructuring a wireframe costs far less than restructuring a finished visual design. Visual design and prototyping run in parallel with feedback checkpoints roughly every week, not a single reveal at the end. The engagement closes with a structured handoff, walking your development team through the design system and answering implementation questions directly rather than leaving a file for them to interpret alone.

What it costs
Design engagements start at ₹1,20,000 / $1,450 for a focused project — a handful of core screens and a working design system — running 3 to 8 weeks. Cost scales with the number of distinct screens, the depth of user research, and whether the project needs original illustration or icon work versus an established icon set. Full pricing and engagement model detail is on the pricing page.
