[Zayadryfruits] — UK Logistics Dispatch Platform
A UK logistics operator's dispatch system reduced manual coordination between dispatchers and drivers, cutting manual dispatch touches by 31%.

The challenge
The client, a UK-based logistics operator, ran dispatch coordination through a combination of phone calls and a spreadsheet-based system that required a dispatcher to manually match available drivers to incoming jobs throughout the day. As order volume grew, this manual matching process became a bottleneck — dispatchers spent a large share of their day on coordination rather than exception handling, and the lack of real-time visibility into driver location made it difficult to make good dispatch decisions under time pressure. [SPECIFIC SCALE DETAIL PENDING — e.g., number of drivers, daily order volume, prior system used.] The business needed a system that could handle routine dispatch matching automatically while keeping dispatchers in control of exceptions and edge cases.
The approach
We built a dispatch and fleet tracking platform with real-time driver location visibility and automated route matching based on proximity, vehicle capacity and time windows, replacing the manual matching process for routine jobs while surfacing exceptions — jobs that could not be automatically matched — for dispatcher review. Offline-first mobile capture for drivers was a specific requirement given inconsistent connectivity on some delivery routes, with proof-of-delivery data queued locally and synced once connectivity returned. [SPECIFIC ARCHITECTURE AND INTEGRATION DETAIL PENDING — e.g., carrier API integrations, specific technology choices confirmed with the delivery team.]
The results
The new dispatch platform reduced manual dispatch touches by 31%, freeing dispatcher time for exception handling and higher-value coordination work rather than routine matching. [ADDITIONAL OUTCOME DETAIL PENDING — e.g., effect on delivery times, driver satisfaction, or order volume the business could handle with the same dispatch headcount after launch.]
